This is for machines with the Mandrel, carriage and cross-feed axes i.e. no eye roll axis. Were a payout ring is used and a large band width is required a large payout eye would be used. However the movement of the fibres from side to side in the eye can lead to inaccuracies in the winding particularly on end domes where slippage could result. The post processor is identical to the 3 axis system except the user is requested to enter the Payout Ring Radius. This value is then used to correct the payout eye positions for the movement of the fibre in the payout ring.
